Wayfar is a travel planning application ("App") designed exclusively for young backpackers and travel enthusiasts. It reimagines travel discovery through a unique swipe-card interface—mirroring the intuitive left/right gestures of modern apps, but tailored specifically for travel content. This App allows users to access travel inspiration, plan trips quickly, and organize travel experiences without tedious scrolling, and no account creation is required to use the App.
By downloading, installing, or using Wayfar, you ("User") agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this User Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the App.
Wayfar is intended for use by individuals who are at least 13 years of age. By using the App, you confirm that you are 13 years of age or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement. If you are under 18 years of age, you must obtain permission from a parent or legal guardian before using the App, and such parent or legal guardian must agree to be bound by this Agreement on your behalf.
You may not use Wayfar if you have previously been prohibited from using any of our services.
You warrant that all information you provide (if any) in connection with the App is accurate, truthful, and complete.
Wayfar provides the following core features, and you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use these features for personal, non-commercial purposes only:
You may not: (a) modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, or sell any content from the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to access the source code of the App; (c) use the App for commercial purposes (e.g., selling travel recommendations or using the App to promote a business); (d) use the App in a way that violates any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights; or (e) interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App (e.g., through malware, viruses, or excessive use that causes technical issues).
The App contains various types of content, including travel information, recommendations, images, text, and animations ("App Content"). All App Content is owned by Wayfar or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and use App Content solely for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with the App. You may not download, save, or share App Content outside of the App without explicit written permission from Wayfar.
Wayfar reserves the right to update, modify, or remove App Content at any time without prior notice. The App Content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute travel advice (e.g., safety recommendations or legal requirements for specific destinations).
You are responsible for verifying any App Content (e.g., destination opening hours, stay availability, local eatery addresses) before relying on it for travel planning. Wayfar does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of App Content.
If the App allows you to submit or share content (e.g., travel photos, trip notes, or reviews) ("User-Generated Content" or "UGC"), you retain ownership of your UGC. However, by submitting UGC to the App, you grant Wayfar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, and display your UGC in connection with the App and its services (including for promotional purposes).
You warrant that: (a) you own all rights to your UGC or have obtained all necessary permissions to submit it to the App; (b) your UGC does not violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights (e.g., copyright, privacy, or publicity rights); and (c) your UGC is not harmful, offensive, misleading, or inappropriate (e.g., contains hate speech, violence, or spam).
Wayfar reserves the right to review, moderate, or remove any UGC at its sole discretion, without prior notice. Wayfar is not responsible for any UGC submitted by users and does not endorse any views expressed in UGC.
Wayfar may release updates to the App (including bug fixes, feature enhancements, or security improvements) from time to time. These updates may be mandatory, and you may need to install them to continue using the App. Wayfar is not liable for any disruption to App access caused by updates, and you agree to keep the App updated to the latest version.
Wayfar may also perform maintenance on the App’s servers or systems, which may temporarily limit or suspend access to the App. Wayfar will use reasonable efforts to notify users of scheduled maintenance in advance, but cannot guarantee that such notice will be provided.
This Agreement will remain in effect until terminated by either you or Wayfar. You may terminate this Agreement at any time by uninstalling the App and discontinuing all use of its services.
Wayfar may terminate this Agreement or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without prior notice, if: (a) you violate any term of this Agreement; (b) you use the App in a way that harms Wayfar or other users; (c) required by applicable law; or (d) Wayfar discontinues the App or any part of its services.
Upon termination, all rights granted to you under this Agreement will cease, and you must uninstall the App and delete any App Content you have downloaded. Sections of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., intellectual property rights, disclaimers, liability limitations) will continue to apply.
